Ghost Lit Kingdom
Ghost Lit Kingdom
The music of Ghost Lit Kingdom features a textual blend of musical, dynamic and vocal contrast. Dual vocals, as unique together as they are apart, are lain upon a canvas of flowing sound; moving through sections of quiet substance to passages of powerful vigor.
Before The Bulb
Before The Bulb is a 6 piece Denver band consisting of- violin, piano, upright bass, drums, guitar, and whatever else seems to fit- whose music can be described in a highly overgeneralized fashion as "some sort of rock". As a group, they pull from many musical backgrounds. With Brett's classical, John's jazz and funk, Brian's rock, Josh's bluegrass, Lehi's punk, and Cody's gypsy, their music attempts to navigate a vast sea of musical influence and possibility.

Brian had been writing and producing records solo for the last eight years until he happened upon Brett at Monday Night Jazz at the Meadowlark, one of Denver's best mainstays. Shortly after, they began playing together and the sound that came from it they most certainly liked. They soon realized, mainly due to Brett's encouragement, that a rhythm section was necessary to further that sound. They then met John, also at the Meadowlark, and asked Lehi to play bass, who was Brian's most beloved bank teller at the time. They later found Josh through an arduous quest on Craigslist (who had just moved here from Connecticut) after realizing that the upright bass was going to be a crucial element of Before the Bulb's sound. Lehi then moved to guitar and keyboards. Cody was last to join forces but has been a worthy edition with his well rounded and skillful approach. To be brief, a series of fortuitous events brought together "The Bulb". And into the future they continue to head, hopefully with your ears at the ends of their soundwaves.
