Kid Reverie is a new project out of Denver featuring the voice and writing of Steve Varney, guitarist for Gregory Alan Isakov and former leader of the Denver band Glowing House. Varney put together a quartet at the beginning of 2016 and began writing furiously. Based in a sound somewhere between Feist and The Black Keys, the songs are about loss, important conversations, love, war, the media, but the lyrics don't give everything away at once. While the words may often be somber, the music is designed to leave you feeling optimistic about whatever the topic. Sounds like rock, reads like folk, and it can make you dance.
A unique blend of garage rock and indie pop, Turvy Organ strives to create music that is emotional and evocative, while still staying true to their energetic, boisterous musical roots.
The Patient Zeros
A product of Denver, Colorado, The Patient Zeros are an experimental rock three-piece, built on crafty, striking lyrics, compelling chorus lines and a signature style ranging from indie-folk to high energy grunge. Formed by life long friends and first time musical collaborators CJ Kjolhede and Joe Schramm, thebans came together to create music built on strong songwriting and rooted in experimentation, and familiar to listeners of FM radio. Shortly after releasing "Sirens Calling" in 2016, Joe and CJ were joined by bassist Michael Raymond. The group has played their brand of rock n roll in over 20 states, covering both coasts and most of middle America en route to or from their home of Denver. The group's latest release, "Born Again", captures the band's signature tense and dynamic style.
Sydney Clapp is a gripping, dynamic songwriter based out of Denver, Colorado. Sydney’s songwriting is simultaneously devastating and hopeful. In the midst of isolation and deep processing of both the joys and sorrows of this world, Sydney sought vulnerability, healing and connection of our shared human experience through her music. Described as a beautiful pain and potentially warranting a box of tissues, Sydney’s experimental folk music will invite you to connect with your deepest emotions. Rhythmic and melancholy yet visceral and uplifting, Sydney’s debut EP, “Cradled By Sound” is coming soon.
