The waking moment when you realize you've overslept creates a unique sensation of urgency. That call to participate in the world and utilize what is left of the time you have is what inspired Elias Armao, Corban Roberts, Evan Zeller, and Mickey Postilion to pursue music more earnestly. Since Overslept's conception in December 2013 that mentality has grown the project from its acoustic-pop roots to a four-piece band with a consistent touring focus and no intention of sleeping in.
Overslept has shared the stage with Lydia, Sorority Noise, My Body Sings Electric, Comrades, and Tigerwine. They have released a full length LP ("I've Been Keeping To Myself"); as well as two EPs ("Overslept/Father Mountain Split" and "That's Not Very Punk Rock of You").
Critics rave that Overslept is "A bunch of babies," "Ed Sheeran the Band," and "Too energetic for my taste."
The band's passion for playing makes their live performance an exciting and cathartic experience that creates an inviting air of community.
Silver & Gold
Silver & Gold produces heartfelt, energetic rock out of Northern Colorado. After forming in 2013, the band quickly started making an impression in the Colorado music scene. They have developed a strong following in their Greeley hometown, which has since expanded to Fort Collins, Denver, and beyond. With two successful EP Releases “Compression” (2014) and “Headed West” (2015) through local label BandWagon Records, the quintet has headlined countless shows and shared the stage with national acts such as COIN, Night Riots, Sorority Noise, The Unlikely Candidates and many others.
The band booked a successful West Coast Tour in early 2017 with Denver’s Overslept; reaching cities including, Phoenix, San Diego, Portland, Seattle, and Boise.
In 2018 the band released their debut full-length album; Point A – Point A. The band is currently writing and playing out all along the front range.
Tyto Alba was formed in 2014 around the talents of singer/songwriter/guitarist Melanie Steinway, guitarist Matt Rossi, bassist Ryan Self, and drummer Jeremy Van Zandt. Emotional, dynamic and provocative, the band draws upon modern acts like Death Cab for Cutie, The Jungle Giants and Local Natives. Steinway and Self previously played together in Steinway's folk-rock outfit Howl Moonshine Howl, while Rossi and Van Zandt performed in Rossi's rock band Umbrella Weather. Upon the merging of these two relationships, the synergy was immediately apparent. Steinway's softer fingerpicking folk background interweaves with Rossi's rambunctious jazz/rock style for a unique guitarist dynamic laced with vocal harmonies. When Tyto Alba performed their first show, audience members were shocked that it was their first live performance due to their natural on-stage chemistry and evident connection. By daytime, Steinway is an illustrator, designer and tattooist, lending her artistic skills to every aspect of the band from their gig posters to the EP design. Much of the band's aesthetic, visually and musically, draws from Steinway's love of animals and nature, no doubt a product of her Colorado upbringing. Four contrasting musical backgrounds come together in this energetic new Denver indie-rock band as they propel themselves head-first into the eclectic Colorado music scene.
Tyto Alba is pleased to announce that they have released their debut five track EP titled 'Oh Tame One' on March 6th. The EP is a proud collaborative effort of local musicians, with the recording and mixing done by Noah Simons of post-punk band Male Blonding. The EP was self-released and is available on Bandcamp, iTunes and Spotify."
